RANZCO LMS Coordinator

We’re looking for an experienced LMS coordinator with excellent communication, administration and technical skills to help us maintain and enhance our new Totara LMS platform. We’re a small and friendly organisation, conveniently located near Central station.

RANZCO is the only specialist medical college accredited to train ophthalmologists. We’re a membership organisation with less than 40 staff, located adjacent to Central station. The LMS Coordinator will sit across our Education and Member Support departments, with a direct reporting line to the Head of Education.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

The RAP commits RANZCO to activities that seek to achieve equity in access and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; continue to build collaborative partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the health sector; build on our existing commitment to increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ophthalmologists in Australia; and will improve and enhance our organization’s cultural safety practices.

The Role

The LMS Coordinator will be responsible for a diverse range of functions designed to support the administration, management and governance of our Totara LMS. Additionally, the LMS Coordinator plays an important role in facilitating strategic planning and ensuring appropriate innovation of the LMS, as well as other learning tools.

Practically, the role includes:

  • Super Tech Admin access to manage and maintain the LMS

  • Helpdesk Support, including coordinating a range of staff to manage the helpdesk

  • Vendor liaison and management

  • Creating and maintaining technical documents and business rules

  • Training and inducting staff

  • Managing internal working groups responsible for strategy and governance of the LMS


If you have more than five years’ experience administering an LMS, with strong communication, negotiating and administrations skills, then this could be the role for you. The role is 0.8FTE with the option to spread hours across four or five days per week. We offer salary sacrificing, a supportive work environment and the opportunity for flexible work arrangements.
