Barossa Eye Clinic, an established and busy private ophthalmology practice in Gawler (approximately 40 km north of Adelaide), is seeking a FRANZCO qualified Ophthalmologist to provide locum cover during periods of annual leave.
Our practice services a large and well-established referral network across Gawler, the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Plains, Mid North and northern Adelaide, providing an excellent opportunity for an ophthalmologist seeking flexible private practice work.
Upcoming Locum Dates:
6-15th November 2026 (note not weekends)
12-16th April 2027
5th-9th July 2027
27th September - 1st October 2027
22nd November - 5th December 2027
Additional locum opportunities may be available throughout the year.

Remuneration:
Competitive remuneration by negotiation, including:
Percentage of billings or daily sessional rate.
Requirements:
Specialist registration with Ahpra.
FRANZCO (or equivalent recognised specialist qualification).
Appropriate medical indemnity insurance.
Eligibility for a Medicare provider number for the practice location.
