St George’s Eye Care is a small independent eye clinic which is part of the St George’s Hospital and has been providing specialist eye care in Christchurch for over 10 years. Using the most up-to-date equipment and technology our specialists provide bespoke personalised care. We are a well-established ophthalmic clinic with on-site theatres and facilities that allow both routine and complex care pathways including general anaesthetic and overnight stays.
We are seeking an ophthalmologist to join our team to expand the care we provide and continue our strive towards excellence. You will receive financial and clinical support to build your practice in a tailored and nuanced manner. The role is flexible and could be tailored to suit fulltime or part time dependent on the successful applicant’s requirements, with excellent remuneration and the ability to shape your own working environment this is an exceptional opportunity.
If you are eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as an Ophthalmologist with a vocational scope of practice we would love to hear from you. You will need to either be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists or commit to actively working to achieve this as soon as practicable.
