This ASO will host this video-assisted Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) Wet Lab & Course taking place on Friday 5 June, at Queensland Eye Hospital.
This is a technique increasingly recognised as the preferred approach for dense cataracts in low resource settings, where its practitioners achieve remarkable surgical efficiency. SICS offers distinct advantages in complex cases, particularly when managing dense nuclear cataracts, and represents a valuable addition to any cataract surgeon’s skill set. To deliver this training, the ASO has partnered with Professor Nitin Verma to host the VAST workshop and wet lab at Queensland Eye Hospital.
- Date: Friday 5 June
- Location: Queensland Eye Hospital 87 Ipswich Road Woolloongabba
- Facilitators: Prof. Nitin Verma, international speakers to be announced!
- Cost: $50 cover catering and wet lab consumables
- ASO members only
The first 40 registrations will be sent an invoice to confirm their spot. If the invoice has not been paid within 48 hours, the spot will be given to the next on the waitlist.
On the Expression of Interest form, where it asks where you practice, please specify that you are a trainee through RANZCO.
