The staff of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, will be conducting a Seminar in Paediatric Ophthalmology for trainee Ophthalmologists. Accredited registrars and fellows are invited to attend. The number of participants will be limited to 20 and places will be allocated upon receipt of registration form and fee. Due to the nature of the course, preference will be given to pre-RACE candidates.

The Seminar will cover vision assessment, strabismus, anterior segment, retinal disorders, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, visual rehabilitation and genetics relevant to paediatric ophthalmology.

There will be a combination of didactic presentations, problem solving sessions and patient demonstrations. It is expected that the registrants will have ample opportunity to examine patients individually. There will be time allocated for discussion and review of the topics covered. The seminar will conclude with “Photo Grand Rounds” which will include all topics covered during the seminar.

A seminar dinner will be held on the Friday evening for participants, partners and members of the Department of Ophthalmology.

Registration opens on Monday May 4th.  Registration will close on Monday 11th May at 5.00pm.
