RANZCO is a medical college based in Sydney, Australia. It has a staff of approximately 25, led by CEO Dr David Andrews. RANZCO staff work closely with the RANZCO Board, Council, committees, Fellows and members who provide governance and strategic direction, clinical input and assistance in the development and maintenance of the RANZCO education and development systems.
The work done by RANZCO Fellows and members is on a volunteer basis. RANZCO recognises the outstanding contributions of our members and other supporters through a range of awards and honours. For more information about these or to nominate someone for an award, please see here.
A/Prof Heather Mack is RANZCO’s current and first female President. She has nine years of Board experience and was RANZCO’s first female Honorary Treasurer. She was elected in late 2018, following a six-month period as President-elect.
In June 2020, RANZCO elected Prof Nitin Verma AM as President-elect. He will take over from Heather on 10 October 2020 at RANZCO’s virtual Council Meeting. In this video, Nitin provides some insights into who he is, how he sees the College and some areas of work that are close to his heart.
