RANZCO resumed the VTP selection process for the 2021 clinical year on 1 June 2020. Eligible applicants presented for the Multiple Mini Interviews on 4 July 2020 at Cliftons venues in Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Wellington. RANZCO will match eligible applicants and training networks according to their preferences on 24 August 2020.
The selection dates for the 2022 clinical year will be available on the RANZCO website in December 2020.
If you have further questions or concerns regarding selection, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
RANZCO cancelled the semester one RACE, Optics, Physiology and OBCK examinations due to the COVID-19 pandemic and extended the deadline for passing all examinations by six months.
After reviewing the examination requirements of trainees and SIMGs, the RANZCO Board and the Qualification and Education Committee (QEC) have approved the revised examinations timetable proposed by examination boards. The revised timetable applies if it is safe to run examinations in October 2020. Trainees who were eligible to sit semester 2, 2020 examinations, if training time had not been suspended, can still sit examinations. Please refer to the Trainee Progression Policy and Examinations Policy on the RANZCO LMS for eligibility requirements and examination processes.
In response to the worsening coronavirus situation in Victoria and New South Wales, the examination boards and education team reviewed the feasibility and acceptability of valid and reliable alternative options for in-person practical and clinical examinations. The RANZCO Board and QEC agreed that rescheduling the exams again or delaying the decision will significantly affect trainee progression and morale, so the most viable option is a virtual RACE and OBCK OSCE via Zoom video conferencing and Moodle-based Anatomy OSPE. Examiners and candidates will report to their local Cliftons test centre in Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in lieu of travelling to a central location and undergoing quarantine. Further information will be provided to candidates after registration closes.
If you have further questions or concerns regarding examinations, please email email@example.com.
