RANZCO Congress

RANZCO’s Annual Scientific Congresses bring together ophthalmologists from across Australia and overseas to share and discuss the latest innovations, techniques and advances in eye health care. With topics such as glaucoma, cataract, cornea, uveitis and surgical retina featured in our packed scientific program, delegates can be sure to walk away with not only good memories but a wealth of knowledge.

Additionally, the Congress features renowned named lectures such as the Sir Norman Gregg Lecture, the Ida Mann Lecture and the Fred Hollows Lecture in which invited world-leading ophthalmologists explore important eye health issues.

RANZCO 51st Annual Congress, Sydney, 8-12 November 2019

RANZCO celebrated its 50th year at the 2019 Congress in Sydney. The 51st Annual Congress was the biggest yet with over 2100 delegates, of whom 890 were Fellows.

Sydney hosted both the American Association for Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) and the Asia-Pacific Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology Society (APSPOS) meetings. Both these meetings preceded the Congress which offered delegates a unique opportunity to attend all three meetings in one convenient location.

The full conference review, with most write-ups written by A/Prof Tim Roberts, FRANZCO, is available here.

Congress Abstract Website

Wiley Blackwell, publishers of the RANZCO Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology (CEO) Journal, have created a Congress Abstract website. The website is a repository of Congress abstracts from previous years as well as the current year.
