Work-Based Assessments

In addition to examinations, trainees are required to submit work-based assessments as part of their progression through the vocational training program. These work-based assessments cover topics such as basic ophthalmic surgery, the term supervisor’s assessment of the trainee, theatre performance assessment, the RANZCO online surgical logbook and the trainee report for each approved final year position.

For more information about trainee progression see the Trainee Progression Policy.

For information about the support available to trainees, please see the Training Support page and the RANZCO Trainee Performance Support Policy.

If you are a trainee looking for assessment forms or more information about the assessment process, please log in to RANZCO Online Learning for resources and information.
