Training Post Accreditation
Accreditation of Training Posts: Site Inspections
RANZCO inspects all training locations and holds discussions with the key stakeholders including hospital administrators, clinical tutors, term supervisors and trainees. The College seeks to work in a partnership of consultation and co-operation with all hospital and health services to optimise training opportunities and experiences.
Site inspections of existing training posts take place on a three-year cycle. Alternatively an inspection may be requested by an institution applying for a new training post, or the network Qualification and Education Committee (QEC) Chair because of changes in the system.
An extensive revision was conducted to the Training Post Standards and a Training Post Accreditation Policy was created to align accreditation with RANZCO’s governance.
All accredited sites need to complete a policy certification statement on 31 January each year.
