News about RANZCO’s CEO, David Andrews

RANZCO President, Prof Nitn Verma AM, on behalf of the RANZCO Board, has sent an internal communications to RANZCO members and affiliates on Tuesday 14 December 2021 informing them of Dr David Andrews’ resignation as CEO of the College. After being RANZCO CEO for nine years, Dr Andrews will be leaving his position in early 2022. During his time with the College, he has led RANZCO into a very strong position across the organisation’s core areas of ophthalmic education, advocacy and membership services.

David has nurtured an environment of professionalism and specialisation within the College office, bringing in experts with the specific skills and attributes needed for the future. He will be leaving a much stronger and resilient organisation than when he started.

The process is already underway to engage an appropriate recruitment firm to find RANZCO’s next CEO. In the meantime, David will remain in his role as the process is initiated.

On behalf of the members, Prof Verma and the RANZCO Board wishes David every success for the next stage of his career and thank him for his service.

The College hopes that David will be available to say farewell to all the members, partners and affiliates at the 52nd Congress in Brisbane in late February 2022.
