RANZCO launches position statement on billing practices of Indigenous patients

Today, RANZCO is launching a Position Statement about recommended billing practices of Indigenous patients. The aim of this position statement is to ensure that ophthalmology services remain accessible for Indigenous patients across Australia, by removing barriers that may impact service utilisation rates, and by promoting cost certainty. The Position Statement also recommends that Rural Health Outreach Funds (RHOF) are utilised when servicing Indigenous patients in rural and remote areas.

For more details, please see RANZCO position statement here.
