RANZCO welcomes new Rural Health Commissioner

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) today welcomes the appointment of Australia’s first National Rural Health Commissioner, Emeritus Professor Paul Worley. RANZCO President A/Prof Mark Daniell said that the appointment of Professor Paul Worley is a positive step forward in strengthening health outcomes in rural, regional and remote Australia. “RANZCO supports the Federal Government’s initiative in appointing Professor Worley, with his extensive experience in rural healthcare, as Australia’s first National Rural Health Commissioner and looks forward to working collaboratively with him to further improve access to quality eye healthcare services for patients in rural and remote communities.”
