In New Zealand, the Ministry of Health’s Diabetic Retinal Screening, Grading, Monitoring and Referral Guidance provides guidance on the key components of an organised DR screening service with the aim of providing high-quality, equitable screening for those at risk of diabetic eye disease. The guidance includes a retinal screening pathway to assist with the identification and appropriate management of patients with diabetic retinopathy.
